THE MID-HANTS WATERCRESS LINE

The Mid-Hants Railway (The Watercress Line) runs one of the UK's finest heritage steam railways on part of the former British rail network. The line runs from Alresford to Alton and operates at weekends from March to October and on weekdays from May to September. Join the service at Alton, 8 miles from Privett, and visit the loco shed at Ropley or alight at Alresford and follow the town's Millennium Trail to the watercress beds. Discounted travel for groups.
